Paul Levy BSc FCA CTA

"My ultimate goal is to give great service to all of my clients no matter what their size or financial objectives. I will go above and beyond to ensure that I am providing the right level of support and guidance to maximise your tax efficiency."

I attended the London School of Economics before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. I then went on to join the practice in 1982 and became partner in 1983. As a member of the Institute of Taxation, I keep up to date on all aspects of UK tax issues and I advise many UK and overseas clients on how to work successfully within the existing UK tax laws.

My expertise

As Lawrence Grant’s Senior Partner, I have diverse experience across a number of UK tax areas including:

  • Tax for individuals
  • Business tax for Sole Traders and Limited Companies
  • Specialist focus on tax optimisation for Solicitors and Barristers

The firm

As a long-term member of the Lawrence Grant family for the past 40 years, I have had the privilege and honour of forming what is now one of the UK’s most esteemed accountancy firms. With a core focus on customer service, I am very involved in ensuring that our team continues to strive for excellence in both service and providing accounting solutions that are robust and practical.

Over my time with Lawrence Grant I have been actively involved in many of the foundational initiatives that have built the firm into what it is today. This has included initiating CPD training for all staff and establishing the business through marketing; in the earlier years. Now my focus is on assisting the Partners to grow the firm and helping clients maximise the amount they earn through astute tax planning.

I enjoy playing Chess (as I was the Under 14 Southern Counties Chess Champion), watching football (a big Spurs fan), Badminton and reading.

I am married to Helen and have two children, Lynsey and Hannah and four grandchildren that keep me busy.

What is your favourite book and why?

"Catch 22", just a great book!

What is your favourite film and why?

"Shawshank Redemption". A wholly enthralling film.

Who most inspires you?

My late father who died 50 years ago. He had always wanted to be an accountant but his parents made him leave school at 14 to earn a living. I think he would have been proud of what I have achieved.
