I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2007 and have over 20 years of experience in accounts and auditing. After completing my degree in Business Mathematics & Statistics from LSE, I joined a local firm of accountants and worked my way up to the role of Qualified Audit and Accounts Manager, gaining experience of working with clients in a range of industries including the supermarket, retail, entertainment and leisure sectors - assisting with audits and accounts, corporation tax and systemisation.

I joined Lawrence Grant in August 2020 and use the experience gained in assisting owner managed businesses and other corporate organisations to meet their compliance requirements, assist clients in reviewing their current accounting systems and practices and migrating clients to cloud software.

The firm

Given my extensive accounting experience and technical know-how, I have been fortunate enough to impart my knowledge to others through our training programs; and across a range of functions. With the implementation of new software systems, we have seen vast improvements in our processes and workflow. As we have transitioned to new software, I have assisted in the initial training and set-up to ensure optimal use, and capitalise on activities for clients.

Also, I continue to train the Lawrence Grant team in other areas such as auditing and accounts. With continued training and support, as well as the improvement of our systems, we as a firm continue to improve, learn and grow together.

Personal

In my personal time I enjoy DIY, car and motorcycle maintenance, driving and riding, as well as spending quality time with my wife and two young boys that keep me busy and entertained.

What is your favourite film and why?

"The Cannon Ball Run." I love cars and bikes and this film has the right mix of comedy, vehicles, silliness and big name actors.

Who most inspires you?

My parents, because they have instilled in me the benefits of education which inspires my need to constantly learn new things to continually develop myself.
