Lawrence Grant was established as Chartered Accountants in 1969 and since then has built up a loyal client base, varying from individuals and sole traders right through to corporates and large multi-nationals, helping them to meet their aims and more importantly, to retain the rewards of their hard work.

The Team

The Partners
Paul Levy BSc FCA CTA
Paul attended the London School of Economics before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. He then went on to join the practice in 1982 and became partner in 1983. As a member of the Institute of Taxation, Paul keeps up to date on all aspects of UK tax issues and advises many UK and overseas clients on how to work successfully within the existing UK tax laws.
Paul is our Senior Partner and specialises in UK tax for individuals, Sole Traders and Limited Companies.
When not working hard to bring you excellent tax savings, Paul enjoys playing Chess and was the Under 14 Southern Counties Chess Champion! Football, Cricket, Badminton and reading are also on Paul’s list of hobbies. His favourite authors are John Saul and Dean Koontz. Paul is married to Helen and they have two children, Lynsey and Hannah.

Graham Busch BCom ACA CA(SA)
Graham joined Lawrence Grant in 1994 and has over 25 years of working in International Tax, both overseas and here in a leading London City firm in the field "International Operations". He has advised, and still consults, to a wide range of clients, from large multinational corporations to SME’s and individuals. The focus of his corporate work is international structuring, He also advised individuals coming to or leaving the UK, as well as non-domiciled UK residents, to enable them to mitigate their UK tax liabilities.
Graham is the vice-chairman of the International Tax Practice Group of Geneva Group International, an association of worldwide accounting, tax, legal and consulting firms of which Lawrence Grant is one of the original member firms. Graham also served for several years on the Policy Committee of GGI. As such, Graham is very much at the cutting edge of international tax structuring.
Graham also has a significant client portfolio of UK based businesses and individuals and very much enjoys advising start-up businesses.
Graham is our International Planning expert and deals with specialist services for Barristers.
Graham enjoys travel, rugby, football and reading and his favourite book is Are You Dave Gorman, by Dave Gorman. Graham emigrated to the UK from South Africa in 1986 and is married to Sue. They have 2 children aged 28 and 25. The person Graham most admires is his wife Sue for putting up with him!

Alan Rajah FCCA
Alan joined Lawrence Grant in 1994 and became partner in 2001.
Alan is involved in all areas of general practice and specialises in valuations of business, due diligence and mergers and acquisitions.
Alan’s client portfolio includes local and overseas companies and individuals and has specialist knowledge of clients in the medical profession and has accumulated a wealth of experience in dealing with the specialist tax and compliance issues facing doctors, consultants and other medical professions.
His main focus is assisting individuals and corporate organisations in minimising their tax bills and providing strategic analysis and business development techniques in increasing revenue streams
He also deals with resolving partnership and shareholder disputes as well as providing advice to clients and solicitors in dealing with matrimonial disputes.
Alan is a member of the International Tax Practice Group and Real Estate Practice Group of Geneva Group International.
Alan also deals with both corporate and personal tax planning for UK and international clients and specialises in implementing onshore and offshore tax structures for clients by the utilisation of offshore trust and companies.

Kassim Harunani FCCA
Kassim joined Lawrence Grant from a Top 10 London firm as an audit manager in May 2008 and became a Partner in May 2009. He works with an extensive range of corporate and non-corporate clients in various industry sectors from start-ups to multi-million pound groups. His experience includes preparation and review of financial statements, external audit, tax, corporate finance and providing general financial and business advice. He also assists clients to prepare cash flow projections and has been involved in number of financial due diligence projects throughout his career.
He is responsible for statutory matters, technical advice and quality control within the firm and is also in charge of staff training and recruitment.
Kassim qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2002 and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. In his time away from work, he enjoys supporting Manchester United, travelling and most of all spending time with his wife and their two children.
